First of all - thanks to all you guys who stopped by and left me a reassuring word on my earlier posts. Weight loss is not an easy one and the support I get through this forum is simply marvelous. Thanks guys for all those kind things you said to me :)
It was really chill this morning. The Scientist had an early morning meeting, which meant I had to wake up at 4.30 a.m. and made him lunch - whole wheat pasta ( the last of the stash from Trader Joe's store we got in our US trip!) with red and yellow bell peppers, olives and carrots. I had prepped by chopping the veggies last night while watching an episode of - The homeland a really cool American serial. Infact I had also cooked the pasta. So all I had to do was throw the veggies in a wok, stir fry, season and tada- done in like 15 minutes!!! Ain't I cool? And I reached the gym well in time for body pump.
Have I told you guys? We don't have a TV at our home, which means we have the luxury of choosing what we want to watch, find it online and watch it!!! This particular serial is a thriller and something I'm totally loving! It also helps that the toddler has not been catching his noonly nap these days and is therefore tucked into bed by 9. Since the Scientist leaves home for work really early these days, he gets home at a decent hour - so that we can squish in dinner together, some serial watching and turn off the lights by 10.30p.m. The luxury of routine, I tell you is something I am newly discovering.
Some days, I find I am even able to quickly read a few pages of a book while the husband is browsing the net. Anyway when I started this post by writing that it was a pretty cold morning today, I realised that might be one of the reasons I have not been able to do runs longer than 5k! Running in the cold feels tough and I have confined most of my running to the treadmill. Yesterday, I did the 5k in 37 mins and 22 secs which feels super fast for me. When I first did my treadmill 5k, I think it took me close to 50 minutes. And then I aimed for a sub 40 min 5k. My next aim would be to be able to do a 35 minute 5k. Wouldn't that be awesome?
For all that excitement I conveyed about joining a running group, I did not exactly end up doing it. Instead I went by myself for a solo run at the place I usually run at. Sometime's its so hard to break the comfort zone, no? I was telling the husband that first it was hard enought to get myself to run, so I was not going to disturb the set schedule I am having right now.
So that's that. I am still fairly calm about my weight. I feared that my resolve to actually do my best and stay calm would not last too long. But one day later, I'm doing just fine :)
So what are you guys upto??? No updates, Prachi? Meversusfat?
