Perfect mornings are made of this:
wholesome breakfast ( that is Prachi's home made muesili soaked in warm milk) I put this together, pop in my hand bag, drop he toddler off at play school and walk to office. Then this tastes like heaven! Yes I love me some warm-gooey oatmeal! And a pre-lunch snack - strawberry yogurt!
The only spoiler was the scale, but really, when is it not?
I gain weight when I expect to lose and lose weight when I expect to gain.
I cannot entirely figure out my body. But I know feel I know how my body responds to certain foods. Rice, for example. Rice makes my body retain plenty of water. Did you know carbohydrates bind themselves to water and cause you to retain fluids? Thats the reason one sees a weight gain after consuming simple carbs. And loses a whole lot of weight on low carb/ high protein diets like SBD/Paleo.It's all just water weight.
Yes I ate a total of two cups of rice yesterday - one cup at lunch and one cup ar dinner. Yes I had dal (for protein) and a good share of vegetables. I also think I drank a good 2 litres of water. I saw a weight gain of nearly 1.5kgs this morning. My calories stayed under 1500 for the day. So you see the logic?
