Up for a challenge, anybody?

So, what is the best way to get rid of body pain caused by doing body pump? Shall I tell you?

Do another body pump class! Not kidding.

Yesterday, I could barely walk. By the evening my body felt like glass - so heavy and super stiff! So I woke up early prepped the Scientist's breakfast, packed his lunch, put Chittu's milk by the side of the bed and reached the gym 10 minutes early to warm up on the ellpitical. Really, that's how desperate I was. We did the new release - 83 today and man - was it a killer!!! The instructor kept egging me on to add the weights. But I'd give up after a few reps and bring down the weight. I tried though!

Interesting fact : Apparently there are 800 reps in a body pump routine. Who knew?

Looks like I am by far a jobless one in weight-loss-blog-land - to keep the updates coming. I think lots of people are already celebrating the anvil of the arrival of the new year.

But I hope you guys have not given up on your 2012 weight loss/ fitness goals and decided to start over in 2013. Just remember, now is the best time to start anything! Not tomorrow or December 1st or January 1st or after you have eaten that cake/ samosa!

I am myself far far far behind on my own goals. I was to reach goal weight of 67 kgs in August 2012. Seriously its deplorable that I weigh 78 kgs today. 11 kgs to goal weight even 3 months after the scheduled goal date! But I am trying to make a better choice at every meal even though I ate some cake yesterday and horse's share of pongal last night for dinner. Sigh! Atleast I'm not giving up.

Anyway we've got about 5 weeks to the new year. I would like to be 5 kgs lighter by January 1st 2013. Anyone wants to join me? Just eat less and move more these next 5 weeks. You could be thinner :) Leave me a line!

    1. :) the point was to fight the attitude of "i will start on Jan 1" and end up being heavier!choose your own bench mark, goals and how you are going to reach it! the idea is to not derail!

  7. Woah Superwoman!! I am joining you, but first things first! How do you manage everything? "prepped the Scientist's breakfast, packed his lunch, put Chittu's milk by the side of the bed".. and after all this.. managed to "reached the gym 10 minutes early" Huh?? How??
I have started going to gym in the mornings too.. but I hardly make any breakfast. Just eat the muesli, wheat flakes, etc! And yeah I do make a sabji and dal/salad for lunch. But its all in a hurry.. How do u do it? How? How?? :)
And, yeah, I am definitely joining you! Have been a lazy ass since a month. Very less workout, but no over-eating.. So no weight gain thankfully! So my goal till 1st Jan is to lose 4 Kg! I am 89.5 right now.. lets see if I can be 85.5 Kg! I am ok if I am in the 85 range till Jan.. (85.9 is ok too) :D

    1. :) i always keep idly/dosa batter available, theres also chappati dough in the fridge and yes I've got help too. Maami doubles up as my kitchen mate when ever I need the help. But yes waking up an hour early gives you plenty of time on hand. And I usually have decided the previous night, the menu for the following day!
Super about joining the rest of us! Our pleasure, dearie. May we all emerge thinner!
